3.3LB Galvanized Folding Grapnel Anchor with Rope and Buoy

I got this for my paddleboard. It's small and easy to open and close. Perfect for what I need it for.

I have used it several times now and it holds position even in a stiff breeze. I used a trolley anchor system and ran it through the trolley loop in case I need to release it. I appreciate having the marker buoy in case that ever happens.

Works great does what it should do would buy another if I had another problem

very well built and small in size ,works great on my canoe

Came really beat up other than that good

Good anchor works as it should. Holds my kayak in place.

Works great on kayak. I like the float feature since I have lost anchors before

I recently picked up the Folding Kayak Anchor Kit, and it's been a game changer for my outdoor water adventures. The 15kg grapnel anchor is surprisingly lightweight but still offers a strong, reliable hold on sand, mud, or gravel, making it perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding, or even jet skiing. The folding design is super convenient, it's easy to carry and store in my kayak without taking up much space. The kit comes with a solid 9m rope, a stainless steel carabiner, and a high visibility buoy, which makes it so easy to spot the anchor and retrieve it when needed. I also love that the anchor is made from galvanized iron, so I don't have to worry about rust or corrosion, even after using it in saltwater. Setting it up is a breeze: just slide the collar, unfold the flukes, and lock them into place. Whether I'm fishing, meditating, or just enjoying a sunset, this anchor keeps my kayak stable, and I can relax knowing I won't drift away. Overall, it's a fantastic, durable, and portable anchor kit for any small watercraft enthusiast.

Happy with these anchors

It is what it says it is, worked well in lake Michigan for us. It wouldn't be suitable for anything larger than a kayak but it works well for it's intended purpose.

Great little kayak anchoring kit

I bought this for use in my Pelican sit-in kayak while fishing in a local river. The river itself is pretty slow moving in general, but has dramatic tidal impact for several miles. This means that if fishing during incoming or outgoing tide, there will be noticeable pull in that direction. In addition, if gas motor powered boats go by, their wakes obviously create sometimes significant wave activity.I've used this anchor twice now and both times it has kept my kayak extremely steady. When coupled with an anchor trolley system from Amazon, it helps keep me facing whichever direction I prefer as well. For the money, this is fantastic. I wouldn't trust the smaller 3bl size anchor for use in a river with a kayak at all however. In a lake with some wind? Maybe. The size is no problem to portage around however.I'm confident enough with it, that I plan on taking a 12ft aluminum boat in the same river. Due to the sheer weight of it, we'll see if the anchor holds, but only time will tell. One safety note that isn't explained well in the product detail whatsoever is that the rope is supposed to be secured to the BOTTOM eyelet on the anchor, NOT the top. Once it's connected with a secure knot, secure the rope to the TOP eyelet with a smaller ziptie. This will allow the anchor to be retrieved whether snagged or not. If those instructions don't make sense, just watch a couple YouTube videos about it. If you tie it to the top eyelet only and it snaggs on a deadfall or something, you will likely have no choice but to the cut the rope and lose your anchor otherwise.

I've used this in both the ocean and lakes. It kept us steady in the wind, even when we were about 50 feet from a bear on the shore! I added some length to the rope but found it wasn't necessary. The rope is thick, the carabiner is reliable, and it folds up nicely for storage. This is a great price for a quality product.
